Jan-Hendrik Overturf is a UK registered dentist with extensive experience in restorative and implant dentistry, and has been caring for patients in London’s West End for over 20 years. Over that time, he has built long-standing relationships with many patients and their families, often looking after them over many years and supporting their dental health through different stages of life.

Jan is known for his calm manner, attention to detail, and thorough, structured approach to care. Following his dental qualification, he completed specialist prosthodontic training in South Africa, where he undertook a four-year Master’s degree and achieved registration as a prosthodontist. This advanced training gave him a strong foundation in complex restorative treatment planning, implant prosthodontics, and the management of worn dentition and aesthetic challenges, and it continues to inform his multidisciplinary approach today.

He takes time to identify underlying problems fully, understand each patient’s priorities, and work closely with them to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs and wishes. His philosophy is firmly patient-centred and health-focused: to provide the least invasive treatment necessary to achieve and maintain long-term oral health, while also being able to deliver more comprehensive restorative or aesthetic reconstruction where this is appropriate and desired by the patient.

His expertise includes bonded restorations, crowns, bridges, and implant-supported prostheses, with particular experience in managing worn dentition, restorative aspects of implant treatment, and complex aesthetic cases. Whether a patient’s aim is simply to preserve their dentition in the most conservative way possible or to undertake more advanced full-mouth rehabilitation, Jan believes treatment should always begin with careful listening, clear explanation, and a shared understanding of the desired outcome.
